What's the last movie you watched (2010)?

Yea that was pretty tragic - maybe its moved into parody at this point and would be funny. :D

Yeah, I'm still trying to get my brain to unmelt from it.
But it's Easter weekend in a week, which means Incredible Hulk and Hulk Vs :D

How 'bout that stupid bad guy with blue lips? And the terrible dwarf.

Uh... what? I'm not sure I understand what the Hulk has to do with Easter. Speaking of the Hulk, I'm one of the few people who really enjoys Ang Lee's "Hulk" and totally disliked the new remake.

Damodar? Much better as the "main bad guy" in D&D2. Much better.

I'm getting those two Hulk DVDs for Easter, along with the next Deadpool graphic novel I need :D
My mum doesn't buy me chocolate for Easter, you see, so her and my nan both get me and my sister something else; usually books or DVDs. Last year my nan got me a Dark Tower book :D

Gremloids aka Hyperspace (1984) surprisingly funny low budget 'what if Star Wars met Close Encounters?' spoof.

Watched Angels and Demons last night. I really liked it - much better then Davinci code which was very disapointing. Lots of good tension and excitement.

From Paris With Love
It was ok, I liked Travolta. Seemed like he was having fun playing the role :)

The Ugly Truth with Gerard Butler and Katharine Heigl. Though I laughed it was an ugly movie. Relied heavily on shock value and stereotypes. I would not reccomend it unless you are hard up!

Watched Fanboys last night, had a lot of Star Wars insider jokes. It was enjoyable but for as long as we have been promised this movie it didn't live up to the hype. Still good just not great.

This weekend the girlfriend is gone so I will more than likely put in my copy of Greenzone or The Hurt Locker and see what all the hub bub is all about.

Ironically most of my favourite parts of Fanboys involved Will Shatner in some way or other lol.

It was rather clever the way he was thrown in the movie.

"I can get anything, I'm William Shatner."

I just watched G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.
1. Chris Ecclestone sucks. Wasn't overly keen on him as the Doctor and he blows as Destro.
2. Rachel Nichols is absolutely stunning.
3. The plot sucked but had a few twists - One of which I really didn't expect.
4. Sienna Miller is not bad at all.
5. None of the other actors can really act that well, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje made me laugh for all the wrong reasons.
6. Marlon Wayans has actually improved as an actor - But I've never really had a fault with him. I found him funny in whichever Scary Movie he was in and I liked his performance as Snails in the first D&D film (one of its few redeeming features, I might add).
7. I have lost faith! I really, really wanted to see this film and can't help but feel disappointed.
8. Oh, and why did Snake Eyes become a glorified gimp?

Yea- it was pretty bad but still somehow lots of fun to watch if you did not think too much.

Your joking Durzo - you are going to watch the Hurt Locker without your GF. It is time to pull out the movies with explosions and gratuitous violence dude.

It sort of had a cartoon/comic book feel to it, something I felt Watchmen and 300 also did quite well - especially the fight scene with the Silk Spectre II and Nite-Owl II in the prison to get Rorschach.
But... No. No. I'd have to be made to watch the sequel I think... Unless it has more Rachel Nichols.

Dont walk or run - FLY now to see How to Train Your Dragon. Simply awesome. Saw it with my 7 yo daughter. Had a great afternoon. I love daddydaughter day.

But the movie totally rocked. It was exciting and moving and funny. Choked me up a few times. I give it a whole wack of stars.

How to Train Your Dragon was good. Pretty simple and straightforward with good balance. Back to basics for the most part. Fun without being tactless, ingenuous without being cloying. Some of the newer animated movies are too ironic and self-aware to be truly enjoyable. Animated movies do not need to operate on two levels with in-jokes for adults and potty humor for kids. Something that can appeal seamlessly to both simultaneously is possible. I think Monsters Inc. would be a good comparison for this movie.

It sounds like it could be good, DaddyD.
I've got a few "kiddie movies" in my collection (Monsters vs Aliens being one) and I do thoroughly enjoy them. You can turn your mind off and just enjoy them!
Will see about watching HtTYD though!

I don't enjoy most of the Dreamworks animated films, but I did love Kung Fu Panda!

Watched Clash of the Titans in 3D last night with my brother. We both agreed it was fun but it is not a movie that will stick with you. So for a couple of hours of entertainment go for it. Will it rock your world - in a word no. It is a good example of 3D that was not spectacular. I know it was a last minute change and it shows. If you are going to see it - I would reccomend you save the few extra bucks and see it old school style.

I could not remember the old one so did not have that comparison in my head.

I thought the Gods were cool and enjoyed their portrayal on Mt. Olympus. Medusa was especially well done in my opinion as well as Hades.

I would love to see an up to date movie that plays with this pantheon of Gods. My brother and I are both big fans of the God of War video games and think a movie might rock big time. Prince of Persia is coming out so why not?

Thats my 2 cents worth.
