Just saw Ninja Assassin and it was extremely entertaining. Stylized extreme violence + ninjas = great success! Very well made movie and highly recomended!

Watched Temple Grandin on HBO with my wife. All about a lady with Autism who persevered and completed her Phd. Starring Claire Daines and some other notables. It was an excellent movie. Fascinating really. I very much reccomend it to those who are looking for something different and inspiring.

This was an excellent show and gave an amazing insight into how autistic people view the world. My wife and I enjoyed it immensely.

If anyone wants to read an excellent science fiction book with an autistic main character, check out The Speed of Dark by Elizabeth Moon.

I believe Temple Grandin provided Elizabeth Moon with some insights to help make her character more realistic.

Logan's Run (1976) - That was long. And dull. I suspect the only reason this movie has lasted so long in people's affections - or at least in men of my generation's affections - is the scanty clothing worn (and taken off, on camera) by Jenny Agutter.
As evidence I would like to submit this contribution submitted to the 'Goofs' for this movie on IMDb
Continuity: When Jessica takes off her green tunic to put on the fur, she has very low-cut dark green underwear. Later when she slips on the ice running from Box, she is wearing lighter-colored underwear.
Now there's a man who has worn out his rewind and slow-mo buttons. Yay! Thirty years later though, two hours does seem like an awfully a long time to sit through for a couple of brief flashes of Ms Agutter's boobs no matter what coloured tights she was wearing at the time.

I just watched District 9 on glorious Blue Ray. Gotta say I was pretty damn impressed. No over the top action ala an explosion a minute. Interesting from start to finish. I could go for a sequel.

Enjoy JT! Extended or theatrical release? I am mega envious - I want to do a marathon viewing one of these days.

I've just been bought 3 movies. Fantastic Four, Fantastic Four 2 and Blazing Saddles :)

I've done it a couple of times. It's very fun, but I think there's a rough stretch about midway through TTT (the midway point of the whole trilogy) where things start to drag. But then it gets ridiculously awesome again. :)

It's funny, you really need to plan your day (meals, etc.) to do the 12-hour Extended Edition marathon right!

Butt numb a thon. I need a day without my two little Hobbits around. Cant wait till someday when they are older to show it to them.

Awesome - that movie kills me!
My wife is away so I am trying to decide which movie to watch tonight.
Inglorious Basterds which I bought on Blueray but have seen and loved or Rock N Rolla which I have never seen but think will kick butt.

I just watched Blazing Saddles.
It's a good film, sure, but not exactly what I was expecting. Not bad, though!

Wife and I just finished The Fellowship and Two Towers. Might have to continue the marathon tomorrow....

I rented a movie for the kids called Shorts by Robert Rodriguez (I am sure I spelled that wrong - sorry). I think it is the same guy who made Shark Boy and Lava Girl and the Spy Kids movies. Anyway it was pretty funny. Little bit of magic tonight hearing the kids laugh.

If you like, I can sit with you and spew every line of Rocknrolla to you. I'm that sad - but I love that film! just wait til the two Russians turn up...

Just got back from the cinema having watched The Crazies which I really enjoyed!! The missus said there's some comparrisons with Carriers. I thoroughly enjoyed both films!!

Solaar
a crazy

I quite enjoyed Rocknrolla though as always when I watch a movie with some heavy accents it takes me a while to get into it. The scene with the Russians almost made the movie on its own. It was fascinating. Great characters and a surprise ending I did not see coming at all.

Is Crazies about Zombies. They totally freak me out - I have to pick and choose. The last Zombie like movie I saw was a disapointment. 28 weeks later - I know they are not "true" Zombies but close enough to freak me out.

Yeah I need to see it a few more times, I hope that wasn't a load of bs at the end when they said there's going to be another one.
