What e-mails are you talking about. Are you subscriped to some threads?
 
Welcome Malazans. The Funzone is a bit "looser" as far as a little spamming. We want to keep threads in the regular Discussion Forum on topic.
To stop the notification emails, there should be a link to click that says something about if you want to unsubscribe from the thread. If you click that they will stop, but when you reply to the thread again, you may get them again.

Also, if you go to your UCP (user control panel), there should be thread notifications there with an unsunscribe option listed beneath each one.

A good place to look for an avatar is at this link:

When you find one you like, left click on it, and then highlight "properties." A box will popup, with the URL address listed. Highlight that URL and left click, then highlight "copy."
Go to your UCP under your profile, and scroll down to the avatar section, and paste the URL in the blank. Then at the bottom of that screen, click the thing that says "Save Changes," or "Modify Profile," or something like that. (I am on several forums and they're all different!)
 
Hello everybody. Came here via the Malazan boars too, known there as Duiker but thought that name was not appropriate on a more general SF/F board. This one is. ;)

Hey- I went away for awhile then forgot how awesome this site is. I'm back now tho.

I'm a typical tragically bohemian 17-year-old movie geek. I spend my spare time making rap musicals out of shakespearean works. I live in Canada (go me) but in Edmonton (yeah, I'd appreciate any sympathy cards). My fav bands are Reel Big Fish and Led Zeppelin

Hi, I was intoduced to the site by Leiali and am spending far too much time in the forum section. So much so that I thought I should register and join in.

Looking forward to throwing my opinions into the ring and ingniting some lively discussion. Also, I'll be looking for advice on excellent fantasy and Sci Fi books to read - can't have too many good books lined up.

This is definitely a great place to come to for recommendations on what to read! I have discovered some of my favorite authors that way.
