Boll Weevil says Hi.....Hi

So I'm as new as a stamped penny, as fresh as newly baked cookies, as naive as a new born squirrel and as old as the dust beneath my feet.

Apart from the blurb above what other truths can I tell? Well I work in NYC, I'm British, married, not made of chocolate and devoid (sadly) of psychopathic tendancies.

Mark and Boll Weevil, welcome to sffworld......hope to get to see more of you around the boards. :o

First of all, welcome to the site, Mark and Boll Weevil. I hope you guys enjoy this site as much as I do.

And secondly, it just occured to me that I've never posted on this thread either (d'oh!). Well, better late than never!

If you happen to see any of my stories online, please excuse the grammar, english is my second language so for me it's a little harder for me then it is for you guys. My life is about as interesting as my behind (excuse the language). Anyhoot, I'm in the army. Right now I'm at Ft. Lee, but my new duty station is Ft. Hood.

Latest news: Writer's bock (yay).

Hi hi!
By any chance do you know of any place in NYC that sells Quality Street?
=^__^;=

Sorry you're devoid of psychopathic tendancies, I'm not allowed to sell them any more. Hope you stay and like us!

New Here!

Hi everyone!

I am new here. My name is Starlight. I love ready all types of books. I am particulary partial to the Urban Fantasy Genre. Currently I am reading The Autumn Castle by Kim Wilkins.

Would love to chat with you all about your favorite Urban Fantasy and Fantasy authors.

Myers of Keswick in Greenwich NYC

Ex,

Quality Street...hmm. There's a British shop in Greenwich called Myers of Keswick...there's a reasonable chance that for an outragious price they might have some.

They DO have Hobnobs...though they could be on the Patriot Act banned list.

Greetings, Starlight, welcome aboard!
I like Charles de Lint, but am not familiar with Kim Wilkins. What other urban fantasy writers could you recommend, sweetie?

Thanks for the Stories

Hi

Hi everyone,

Just stumbled upon these message boards today and awed by their hugeness! :D I can't wait to read through some of the recommendation threads and start discussing.

A bit about me: I'm 21 years old and a final year student at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland (I'm a final year undergrad - only two months to go - and my MA is in Mediaeval History and Literature). I'm originally from the north of England and am in a long term lesbian relationship. I'm Pagan and have been for many years. I love to read anything and everything but I'm particularly fond of science fiction/fantasy. Favourite authors would have to be Guy Gavriel Kay, George R. R. Martin, Ursula Le Guin and Robin Hobb. I'm very partial to Virginia Woolf. :o Also love Carnivale, Six Feet Under, Alias ( ) and Xena (!!!).

Welcome Duanawitch :D

I used to live near St.Andrew's in Scotland, and now I live in North England :o

I hope you're ready to spend a lot of time here, it sucks you in :D

Welcome to the site, Duanawitch, hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

(Hey, I got the 1000th post, nice!)
