I would just say there can't be anything actually illegal in the movie, as I would assume it would not have passed the censor (even the French one, which surely is more liberal than most) and got a release if that was the case. I've yet to see, for instance, an actual snuff film get to the box office. Also, I'm not a parent either so couldn't comment on how I would feel were I, and had to look at those pictures in the context of my own children, but again, and surely this is the important point, I could just not watch it or look at the pictures. It's not like they're being sent to you in a spam email or whatever is it? You have to go looking for them to be outraged/offended/disgusted by them.
So again, the point I'm making, with this or any other "questionable" movie is, why should any one group decide what should and shouldn't be shown on the screen? I guess governments and censors have that job, but why should private individuals get to decide that? I also understand you're not saying that's ok, AV, and just have your own moral objection to the movie. But that wasn't what I was asking. I didn't say "do you think this movie is bad?" I said "do you think it's ok for people to decide a movie should be banned/removed because they, a minority (200,000 is a minority surely, against millions of Netflix subscribers) say so?"
