What's the last movie you watched (2010)?

I've just watched both Hulk Vs "movies", and they were absolutely brilliant. Whilst I don't know a lot about the Hulk, I got them more for Thor and Deadpool (who appears in Hulk Vs Wolverine, and he's brilliantly done).
The animation can be a little off, as can the voice acting, but they're generally pretty high quality. I found the Wolverine one a bit lacking in the story department; it seemed to jump from place to place and the first half didn't make too much sense.
I'm at a bit of a loss about who Omega Red is (going to look him up after my dinner), so that left me a bit puzzled too.
I preferred the Thor episode (even though Wolverine has Deadpool, my favourite Marvel character) because it was a better written story. It retains a lot of the speech from the comics (you know, that sort of Shakespearian/Old English way of talking), but I felt the Warriors Three didn't get much of a look-in. However, I can forgive that as it's only about 45 minutes long.
If you see this DVD cheap and you like Marvel comics or just one of the characters then it's really worth getting. You can turn your mind off for the most part, sit back and enjoy them.

EDIT/UPDATE:
Just watched 'The Incredible Hulk' with Edward Norton.
Wow, what a... mix.
Tim Roth - Annoyed the daylights out of me.
Ed Norton - Brilliant, as always.
Liv Tyler - She's was good, but something about her (visually) creeps me out. She looks totally different between some shots.
As I said above, The Hulk isn't a super "hero" I'm really familiar with. I've known of him for most of my life, but he's never appealed to me. I much prefer his female counterpart, She-Hulk, and that's just because she's attractive. And she appears in a Fantastic Four episode with some of the Great Lakes Avengers (Bad superheroes and She-Hulk! It only needed Deadpool and it'd be the greatest thing ever). I felt that this film, for me, isn't something I would be able to watch a lot. Whilst Ed Norton does a very good job as Bruce Banner, I felt that Tim Roth's performance was poor. He didn't walk like a soldier, his facial expressions barely change, he didn't make sense (to me) as a character. Unlike most non-sequel Marvel films recently, it wasn't much of an Origins story. Fantastic Four was them becoming superheroes, Iron Man was more about how Stark became Iron Man, Spider-Man 1 was Peter Parker being a whiny SOAB and becoming Spidey, Ghost Rider was Nick Cage constantly going :| and becoming Ghost Rider, Wolverine: Origins detailed how Wolverine went from Logan to Wolverine... But, from what I could tell, The Incredible Hulk was more about Banner fighting and learning who he was. For basically the whole movie, he was capable of becoming the Hulk at any moment.

However, I loved the tie in with Iron Man right at the end, and I honestly wasn't expecting it. I really hope that they do bring Norton back for The Avengers! Although his performance as Banner isn't as good as Downey Jr's Stark, it's still a lot better than some I've seen.

The reason that The Incredible Hulk wasn't an origin story is because it's a quasi-sequel to Ang Lee's Hulk which came out several years earlier, starring Eric Bana as the Hulk. That one tells the origin story (although with a totally different cast).

Everyone seems to hate Hulk, but I personally think it's fantastic and much better than the Edward Norton version.

Considering that everyone loves all of Ang Lee's other films, I think people need to give Hulk a second chance.

I've not seen that version, so I've no opinion on it.

It's on my "To Get" list, but it's at the near-bottom along with Daredevil and Elektra.

EDIT/UPDATE:
Just watched "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer".
Like the Hulk, I know very little about the Fantastic Four. Eh, not really a great film. For the amount of time it ran, it didn't feel like a lot worth mentioning happened. Not really a fan of Jessica Alba's performance in this film, and I felt some of the distances they traveled didn't make sense.

I think they deliberately made it so you could either feel like Ang Lee's movie still happened or that this new one was a reboot (there was a new origin scene but it was REALLY thin, probably about 2 minutes of screen time). I like both movies just fine myself. My only real knock on the Edward Norton one is that A-bom shouldn't have been that easy to drop. I say extend the movie some, cut some earlier stuff and make that last scene longer. We all know how hard it is to drop the Hulk (damn near impossible) so really Abomination should be almost as tough. Then again most of my ideas for improving movies don't take ratings into account. The sort of fight I envision to take down Abomination would really necessitate an R I think.

Encounters in the Deep - a really crappy Spanish Italian piece of crap from 198X in which nothing happens in very bad English and Alienator a total piece of s**t from the oeuvre of Fred Olen Ray. (And that's the first time anywhere the words Fred Olen Ray and oeuvre have appeared in the same sentence.)

Saw Clash of the Titans. Well it was better than Percy Jackson....

I liked Ang's hulk. I remember feeling it had a nice comic book feel to it. I also really liked the follow up though. Such an intriguing character.

Just saw How to Train your Dragon, and it was absolutely great. As a lover of dragons in general, it pulled at my heartstrings and made me laugh quite a bit. Worth a watch for both kids and adults.

Recently saw Monsters vs. Aliens also. Great humor, story, and animation. Laughed tons. :D

I liked both, but I preferred Ang Lee's Hulk, and I think it's one of the most underrated Marvel films yet.

There is no way it should be lumped together with duds like Daredevil, Elektra, and Fantastic Four. It's much better than that, in terms of artistry, cinematography, and acting. I think it contains one of Nick Nolte's best performances in many years!

Watch Universal Soldier Regeneration last night, is it just me or are these movies geting worse and worse, but they keep making them!!!:(

Those were some pretty bad dogs especially the first FF. Bad Bad Bad. I have my fingers crossed Thor does not get messed up.

I'm really looking forward to Thor, I'm sure it'll be great.

Even though I've not read much material, he's one of my favourite Marvel heroes, and I used to buy the Marvel Legends reprint just to read his stuff (I have little interest in Captain America, and not a lot in Iron Man).

Thor was my favourite for a very long time as a comic reader/collector. I loved the mythology background and his powers kicked ass.

I've actually got a huge Thor poster on the wall behind me. It used to be above my PC but I moved it when my Left 4 Dead posters arrived.

Well, it's a good sign that Thor is being directed by Kenneth Branagh (of all people).

Is it really though? The only thing about Branagh in my opinion that directly recommends him to direct Thor is his Shakespeare experience (knows his way around outlandish archaic speech patterns ;)). It's hard to say who will turn out and who won't, I am optimistic but you never know.

Exactly, he's a well respected Shakespearean actor (and director). To me, that seems like a pretty high quality director for a Marvel movie. I don't think he's ever directed anything like this before, but I can't imagine his involvement being anything but good for this film.

That being said, I've never read any Thor comics whatsoever. But I do like Norse mythology! (I'm not even sure if the character is supposed to be one and the same).

From what I've seen Thor is supposed to be the same Thunder God from Norse Mythology, he's just somewhat "marvel-ized" IMO. Sort of like the difference between Taxi Driver and the Punisher.

Thor lives in Asgard, Odin is his father and is pretty central to every Thor comic I've read. In a Marvel coffee-table book type thingy they said when they first started the comic the idea was that Thor is like the paragon of heroism, strength, valour, virtue etc. He can go toe to toe with Hulk without embarrassing himself and he has Mjolnir which he uses to call lightning and thunder and smite people. He also spins it a lot with a thong that comes out of the haft and flings it (along with himself) at enemies and travel destinations. That's about all I know.

That sounds pretty much... AWESOME. :D
