"It Was Earth All Along!"
Wasn't that used in "The Planet of the Apes"? Not sure if the book is the same as the film. Never watched it or read the book. Enjoyed your strip.
I was tempted to the "It Was Earth All Along!" trope in writing the "Eden Seeds", which is seriously seeing no progress. Been busy reviewing the "Celtic Otherworld" series and now added two chapters to "Exiles and Rooks", which I thought I'd finished.

Gone through the first draft of the Baldemar novelette, now titled "A Geas of the Purple School," and fixed some plot inconsistencies, adding 1000 words. Tomorrow I'll print it out and go through it again, just to make sure there are no holes.

New novel halfway @64000 words.
Have edited 1st draft of about half that. I’m taking a new approach (for me) of prioritising character development rather than technology and world building and hopefully it’s going well! Maybe... I think...

I posted a new thread asking for people’s thoughts here https://www.sffworld.com/forum/threads/feedback-for-works-in-progress.56014/

Happy to read others drafts and exchange thoughts.

I'm working through my first novel, which is not my first but I'm changing some things and adding a bit more horror to it. I have to go back and rework all the books I've finished startfroms Book I. I'm currently at about 19,000 words which will be added to the current story...
My eyes and fingers are just like yeah, man...just go to sleep.

They just don't make decent pockets on space suits these days.
Or jackets. My wallet often falls out between the seats when I slip into the pilot's seat.

Two pages of Black and White infotainment:

This strip was a real idea from the blue. I was flipping through an article about modern SF films when the idea for this strip this fell (almost as it is on the page) into my head. Fully-formed: start, middle, end with the images ready in place. It was frantic scribble it down before I lost it moment. How DOES that work? I reread the article afterwards and could find nothing (other than it was about SF films) that might conceivably have triggered the idea. Brains is weird.

Back to work. I've started a new Baldemar novelette, 800 words today. Already have some interesting ideas for the middle and a sense of where it has to end, because this is the seventh novelette in a series that developed B from boyhood to maturity. But before the seven, I wrote the first of his episodes for Gardner Dozois's The Book of Swords and that one saw Baldemar at the end of his henchman career.

So I'll have to make the current one bend towards where he was at the beginning of "The Sword of Destiny," the title of the antho piece. Tricky business this fictioneering.
