The hulk fighting the mutant hulk dogs was too funny. I have to admit I did get a hoot out of that bit, and an attack poodle none the less…

a mutant dog?!!?!
that's enough to make me watch this movie. Thanks

I'm with Ogg, except for him dissin' folks around here. I really hope he knows the guys he's putting down...hehe.

I almost fell asleep in this movie. I only found interest when Bruce got angry...which made me feel like a little child going to see a movie I don't understand and only getting excited during the action sequences.

I don't know where this movie was going. It was certainly a movie that was more painful to watch than anything else.

And...

*SPOILER*

The Absorbing Man being the Hulk's FATHER? What the heeeeeeck?

*SPOILER*

The recent Marvel movie ranking goes as follows...

1. Spider-Man
2. Xmen 2
3. Blade 2
4. Daredevil
5. Hulk

WHAT!!!

You're putting Daredevil above the HULK? C'mon!! Affleck can't act, at all. I absolutely hated the Daredevil. THE HULK was cool.

Hang on...

MY modified ranking...

X-Men
X-Men 2
Spiderman
Daredevil
The Hulk

Haven't seen Blade 2. Couldn't stand Blade 1.

I really enjoyed the Hulk. My favorite movie of the summer by far up until this point. Definately my kind of movie. I can see why people did not like it though. Kind of different, kind of slow.

Note: Can the mods please put a leash on those who are talking about drugs and people please. Its in poor taste and childish. Thank you.

That was a mod talking about that, my friend. Can the mods please put a leash on oversensitive killjoys as well?

I would rather stab my self in the groin than watch Blade 2 again.

but yeah the rest of the list looks reasonable ;)

More hate for the Marvel movies Blade 2 was cool, Blade 1 was better though. Daredevil was just plain fun, great film, great actor choices (I'm not usually a Ben Affleck fan but he did a good Daredevil dispite everyone else's opinion). X-Men 1/2 and Spiderman (no bad comments in this thread, yet) were great. And the HULK was Fantastic.
Maybe its something with us intellectually evolved Canadian individuals that lets us properly apreciate the brilliance of such films. That's got to be it.

I think we can relate to Bruce Banner, in terms of our national identity.

You guys turn green when angry?

No, were a calm and nice country. But if you piss us off, we'll kick your ass.

Complete with mutant poodles and split-screen wipes?

ahahahahahahaha - Ogg that was true genius, you are a legend :D I'm still going to go see the film but I just thought I'd say that made my day :D Oh and I'm with Kilroy Blade 1 and 2 were really good especially for a minor franchise.

I'm seeing it tonight, and will respond with my thoughts tomorrow. But I have to say, all the criticisms that I've seen sound like POSITIVE things to me! That's why I'm sure I'll like it

I.E. Too dark, too serious, not enough comedy.

Um, sounds pretty good to me. Why would ANYONE want comedy in it? Isn't that the biggest complaint about movies like the Phantom Menace, and the Two Towers? Too much comic relief?

Too dark? Is there such thing? Come on, dark is GOOD.

My complaint is not that its too dark, its that its too BORING!

Surprised to see Blade getting slagged as I thought it was the only comic character that hadn't been toned down for a 12A rating.
The first was an 18 and packed with blood and swordplay, the second was a 15 and went down the seemingly inevitable path of adding CGI, but at least it wasn't swamped with the stuff.
Blade was undoubtably remodelled from the original comic format and brought into the 21st century with a much cooler look IMO. As in the comics he looked and talked like Richard Roundtree's "Shaft"!

Every other comic hero movie was watered down to the point where it just ceased to appeal to me, with the exception of the Xmen, and to be honest Wolverine made the film for me. Without him I doubt I would have enjoyed it.

I always prefer the dark anti-hero types, like the Crow and the first couple of Batman films with Michael Keaton.

Well, I was right... I really enjoyed HULK.

A few flaws, yes - SPOILERS!!!

too many cheesy shots of the "gentle giant" staring at the human girl with a puppy dog expression...

a few slow parts in the beginning, with Bruce and the girl, that did drag a bit

SOMEWHAT hard to believe that he can leap like that, although it did look/feel amazing.

Overall I thought the effects were top notch, the story was pretty good, and the acting was decent. More than you get these days, especially in a comic book movie. I thought this was much better than Spiderman, which is funny because I like Spiderman comics/Spiderman as a character more than I like the Hulk.
But this movie was really good. Unique. Good music. I loved the trick camera work, angles, comic book frames.
I loved the last scene too! Hilarious.
